Embark in epic boat excursion to “Pelican Bar” with Captain Joseph. It’s the “coolest bar in the world” floating in the middle of the sea!

After Pelican Bar, Captain Joseph can also arrange a Lobster cookout on a private beach only accessible by boat. It has a Robinson Crusoe vibe!

You’ll need Gold, Silver, Pearl, Black, Foot Wakers, Foot Savers, Face Balls. (I’ll have a pump if you don’t own one:)

Upon arrival a driver from Jakes Hotel will greet you at the common area once you clear customs.

They will have a Jakes Hotel sign.

The drive to Jakes from Montego Bay is about 2 hours and 50 minutes.

It’s a beautiful drive and in Jamaica they drive on the left side of the highway — which makes for a fun ride. 

You are welcome to ask him to stop for food, drink or a bathroom break. 

Scotchy’s Jerk Restaurant is a good halfway stop. They have delicious Jerk Chicken.

Yes!  Jakes accommodates all diets – Vegetarian, gluten-free – dairy-free, you name it they can make you something delisious.

You’ll have a $75 food credit that can be used for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Including drinks and alcohol. 

I find it more than enough unless you indulge in expensive bottles of wine.

The extra you spend will just be charged to your account. This makes it super easy.

There are 2 main restaurants. Jakes Restaurant and Jack Sprat.

Jake’s works with local fishermen, local farmers and local chefs. The menu changes daily to reflect what’s fresh. Local food served by local people.

This area is considered the breadbasket of Jamaica. It’s where 80 percent of Jamaica’s domestic produce is grown.

The local fish and pasture raised meat are also locally sourced. 

Jamaican cuisine is healthy and delicious. There are fresh smoothies, tropical fruits and vegetables galore.
