The Body Rolling Practice Meets Authentic Jamaica
Join Dianne Glass for six immersive days of Body Rolling, breathwork, island wellness, and authentic Jamaican experiences in the vibrant coastal community of Treasure Beach.
Each morning begins with Body Rolling, foot fitness, breathwork, and movement practices designed to improve alignment, mobility, and overall well-being. Late afternoons include yoga with Empress Thandi, along with plenty of time to relax, explore, enjoy great food, and settle into the laid-back rhythm of island life.
Far removed from the large all-inclusive resorts, Treasure Beach offers a slower pace, genuine community, and a glimpse into a side of Jamaica that remains deeply connected to its culture, people, and traditions. Here, life unfolds a little differently—fishermen bring in the day’s catch, local restaurants serve family recipes, and neighbors still know one another by name.
This retreat is an invitation to move, restore, and experience Jamaica beyond the resort walls.

FAQ’s
Absolutely not.
The Body Rolling Practice is highly adaptable and can be modified for a wide range of bodies, ages, and experience levels. Many participants attend with little or no previous experience.
With more than 36 years as a wellness professional—and decades teaching Yamuna Body Rolling®—I’ll guide you through each practice and offer modifications when needed.
Whether you’re looking to move more comfortably, deepen an existing practice, or simply reconnect with yourself, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
Jamaica holds a special place in my heart through shared family history, and I’ve been visiting this magical island since 1979.
Our retreat takes place in Treasure Beach, a laid-back coastal community known for its warm hospitality, authentic culture, and slower pace of life. The owners and staff at Jake’s are wonderful, and I’ve always felt welcomed here.
Treasure Beach isn’t the Jamaica of large all-inclusive resorts or crowded tourist areas. It’s a peaceful corner of the island where visitors come to relax, connect with the local community, and experience the real Jamaica.
I can’t wait to share one of my favorite places in the world with you.
What can I do during free time?
Absolutely. While many guests choose to relax, enjoy the beach, or book a spa treatment, Treasure Beach also offers plenty of opportunities for adventure and exploration.
Some favorite experiences include:
• A boat ride to the world-famous Pelican Bar
• Fresh lobster cookouts on secluded beaches accessible only by boat
• Kayaking along the coastline
• Guided farm and community tours with local guides
• A day trip to beautiful YS Falls
• Swimming, snorkeling, reading, napping, and simply enjoying island life
Many guests find the hardest part is deciding whether to explore—or stay in a hammock with a good book.
US dollars are accepted almost everywhere, and major credit cards work throughout Jake’s Hotel and most restaurants.
If you’d like to shop local craft markets or support small vendors, it’s nice to have a little Jamaican currency. There’s an ATM at Jake’s that dispenses both US and Jamaican dollars.
Do I need to bring my own balls?
Yes. We’ll be using a full range of Yamuna® balls throughout the training, so please bring your own set if you have one.
Required equipment:
- Gold Ball
- Pearl Ball
- Black Ball
- Foot Wakers
- Foot Savers
- Face Balls
If you’re missing any equipment, you can order what you need through my website. I offer free shipping within the U.S.
Don’t have a pump? No problem—I’ll have one available for use during the training.
How far is the drive from the airport? Will someone meet me on arrival?
Yes. A driver from Jake’s Hotel will meet you at Montego Bay Airport after you clear customs. They will be holding a Jake’s Hotel sign and will assist with your transfer to Treasure Beach.
The drive from Montego Bay to Jake’s is approximately 3 to 3½ hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a scenic journey through the Jamaican countryside, small villages, and coastal views.
If you’d like to stop for a snack, drink, or restroom break, your driver will be happy to accommodate you. Scotchies is a popular stop along the route and is well known for its authentic Jamaican jerk chicken.
For those who prefer a shorter journey, a small-plane transfer is also available. The flight takes approximately 20 minutes and lands at a local airstrip just minutes from Jake’s Hotel.
Whether you travel by road or air, we’ll make sure your arrival is smooth, easy, and the perfect beginning to your Jamaican retreat experience.
What kind of food will be served? What if I have a special diet?
Jake’s is known for its fresh, locally sourced cuisine and can accommodate most dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. Simply let us know your preferences when you register.
Your retreat includes a daily $75 food and beverage credit, which can be used for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and beverages. Any additional charges can be conveniently billed to your room.
Jake’s offers several dining options, including the renowned Jake’s Restaurant and Jack Sprat, both featuring fresh seafood, seasonal produce, and authentic Jamaican flavors.
One of the things that makes dining at Jake’s so special is its connection to the local community. Many ingredients come directly from nearby farmers and fishermen, and menus often change to reflect what’s fresh and in season.
Expect vibrant tropical fruits, fresh juices and smoothies, locally caught fish, pasture-raised meats, and plenty of healthy, delicious options throughout your stay.
